People I have been ripped off by

Here's a page listing people who have ripped me off or otherwise tried to scam me, in the hope that Google in its wisdom will index it and so avoid other people failling into the same trap.

  This person sold me Scissor Sisters tickets on Scarlet Mist to the tune of sixty quid in December 2010. When Tamar got there it turns out the tickets had already had refunds issued so were void. The name he used is evidently real enough that he uses it to accept cheque payments, and he uses the email address to send and receive messages. He gave his location as Chichester and a mobile number of 07973668631 which a woman called back on denying all knowledge of him, so either it is his number but someone else is in on it, or he deliberately gave someone else's number. So... if anyone called John Cole approaches you claiming to sell goods or services in East Sussex, I suggest you do a bit of verification first. And if they are also using the email address johnccole@hotmail.co.uk, I suggest you avoid them like the plague (or better still, organise your own sting operation to catch them in the act :)
